Arrival at Cape Amber is dazzling. As the private water taxi skims across the lagoon from San Pedro, the geometric shapes of the Mayan inspired resort seem to emerge from the water itself. Pulling up to the marina, you are greeted by friendly staff, and a tropical drink. Thirst quenched, and shoes optional, you begin your tour of Cape Amber.

Traversing the beach from the marina, the wooden walk enters the reception area, an open tropical garden, with a restaurant on one side, and an events lawn on the other.
